Hiking in the river

we continued our hike in the river for a ways and decided to turn back when Launi had water past her waist!

Memorial Day Weekend Trip

Hanging out on our last day at the St. George temple grounds
There was a water feature near by so we got the kids in their swimsuits and let them play
We took an extra drive to Bryce canyon. We didn't stay long because we had to make the trip back to St. George and it started to sprinkle and get cold fast.
We went back to Zions for more hiking we made it to the upper pool
On our first day at Zions we went to the end of the bus shuttle and did a hike. When we reached the end of the hike you could go further hiking in the river. We felt adventurous and tried it!
Cambria, Chase and Cole finding rocks and cooling their feet.
Audrey loved the pack she was carried in. she made lots of fun happy noises and even took a few naps.  Tim found she was a chick magnet.  We got lots of comments on how others wished they could be packed around and that was the way to go!
Starting our hiking at Zions
We are ready to party and enjoy the sights.
On our way to St. George we were trying to meet up with Neal and Launi in Kanab but never found them because none of us had cell service.  We started out our trip playing in some really soft sand!

Wheeler Farm Dance Performance

Here is cambria's dance performance from Wheeler Farm. She did a great job and had a lot of fun. We have two more performances to go one at Lagoon and her year end. I think we will enjoy dance at this fun young age and then see how things go when she gets older. I did not like the older girls costumes, dance moves, or song choices (a little too prostitot).

Wheeler Farm Dance Performance

audrey was a good girl and enjoyed people watching.
cambria was excited to dance and was as cute as can be.
tim is excited to start being a dancing girls dad!

another 5k

we have done it again! we are three 5k runners!!  we did this one today at thanksgiving point in utah. we had a great time with this one and enjoyed all the flowers on a beautiful path.  now we are gearing up for our spudman triathalon  in july where we will doing the race as a team!

Long time friends

a few weeks ago me and my long time friends met at a park in sugar house.  a quick up date about these two friends.  jenny (the one in the middle) has just returned to utah after living in hawaii for a few years for her husbands school. kristina was in utah for a brothers wedding and was able to meet with us.  we thought it was fun that we all had such cute girls! how lucky are we. it was great to catch up and have a mini reunion. i hope we can have more of these through the years and add more friends that we know!

Salt Lake City 5K

so meagan is responsible for getting us to try a 5k, and actually to tell you the truth it was actually quite fun! i am not a runner by any means but had a great time. we all had our ipods on and our 5k playlist rockin! all three of us started out together then launi moved to the outer edge to get some room and meg and i were together for the first mile until i had to stop and use a porta potty, then we were all on our own until we met up at the finish.  so some firsts for me, one a 5k, two i jogged an entire mile no walking and three i enjoyed being out jogging with hundreds of others.  so now we are three 5krs and our next one is coming up May 16th at Thanksgiving point.  so i was wondering while i was jogging why on earth i paid to run in the street with strangers but then remembered i was donating to a cause the huntsman cancer association and that made it all worth while.  the next one is for running with angels, not sure what that is all about but another good cause i'm sure!

Who's Who?

so here is a little quiz which picture is cambria and which is audrey?  this will be picture 1
tim came over to the computer while i was putting these on and he wasn't sure who this one was. picture 2
i've almost decided i do need to buy audrey all new clothes so pictures will look different and i can tell them apart. i just made this one a trick one.  picture 3
picture 4
picture 5  good luck and those who want to can tell me what they think.

Funny Fuzzy moments

fuzzy wazzy was a bear fuzzy wazzy had no hair fuzzy wazzy wasn't really fuzzy was she. tim taught this rhyme to cambria and so she started calling audrey fuzzy and it kind of stuck with all of us.  we call her fuz, the fuzster, or fuzzy. here she is having her binki propped up with a stuffed animal. she never did quite catch on to the wonders of a binki, now she is a thumb sucker!
during the winter we had her zipped up in her carrier and she would poke her eye out to see what was going on. we thought this was hillarious!
our little tv junky. she has even figured out that women should have complete control over the remote!

Like mother Like daughter

so this is a skirt of mine that my grandma varley brought back for me from scotland and now cambria is big enough to wear it.
i have a similar picture of me and my grandpa varley in a potato cellar during harvest
this is my blessing dress that i wore and i was so excited to have cambria wear it.
things to note about me

i get e-mails that ask all sorts of questions about yourself and then you pass it on to others, i never filled these out for all sorts of reasons but have decided to add something similar on my blog which i can add to and change from time to time.

things i enjoy (in no order of importance)
my wonderful husband
my two beautiful girls
the gospel
mountains
windy rivers
sunsets
mini milky ways (that i hide)
cereal (with really cold milk)
bike rides
reading (especially in fun book clubs- or should i say book club/movie/eating club!)
visiting the country

things i detest
finding my hidden candy snarffed
children awake after 9:00 pm
or awake before 7:oo am

so i was able to paint my brothers kids room in his new dental office and had a great time doing it.  i had help for sure other wise i would not have finished in two days.  we had a sight miss hap  the first night though.  after meagan and i got finished painting the back ground blue for the sky and green for the grass we came back later that night to check it out and found that someone had come back and repainted our green with a nasty neon green. it was horrible!!  who would do such a thing? so me and meg when to walmart and got more green to cover up this horrible display of vandalism.  the second green we painted turned out to be so much better anyway!  so after three hours of sketching and eleven and a half hours of painting the room was finished and turned out quite well!
