All of us before we started our hike! Very happy smiles. I forgot to get another pic after but it I'm sure it wouldn't have been so happy! from left to right-- Lindsey, Jason Green, Lee Peterson, Kate Walker, Kristin Johnson, Doug Johnson, Meagan Smith, Ryan Smith, Kim, Kristin, and Ryan Johnson

On the way up enjoying the wild flowers. I thought of
Cambria and how she would have loved to pick them and pick up all the rocks on the way! About 2.5 miles into the hike up (which was a little over 7 miles) my inner left knee started to hurt and then it was just
excruciating pain evey step to the top, and then the right started to hurt almost to the top. It was great fun...not. Not sure why it started to hurt in the first place, never has before.

Here is a pic of 15 more minutes of agony hiking to what is called the saddle. After that it is another 25 min to the peak (which i did not hike to). I did make it to the saddle and it was beautiful!

Here is what it looks like from the saddle. You can see Utah county. From the peak you can see Utah county and Weber county. (you can also see
Weber county on your way up the mountain)

Yea for me I made it!!!

There were
sooo many rocks. They were hard to cross because they were loose and wobbly. Here I'm standing on a
glacier!!

Me and Meg at the Emerald
Glacier Lake (more like a pond). Here we took a rest and got ready for the hike down (another 7 miles).

A pretty water fall coming down.

Another waterfall but bigger! The scenery was very pretty going up and coming down the mountain. Glad I went and suffered through my physical pain!!! Will I do this ever again? Probably Not!!!!
