Mount Timp

All of us before we started our hike! Very happy smiles. I forgot to get another pic after but it I'm sure it wouldn't have been so happy! from left to right-- Lindsey, Jason Green, Lee Peterson, Kate Walker, Kristin Johnson, Doug Johnson, Meagan Smith, Ryan Smith, Kim, Kristin, and Ryan Johnson
On the way up enjoying the wild flowers. I thought of Cambria and how she would have loved to pick them and pick up all the rocks on the way! About 2.5 miles into the hike up (which was a little over 7 miles) my inner left knee started to hurt and then it was just excruciating pain evey step to the top, and then the right started to hurt almost to the top. It was great fun...not. Not sure why it started to hurt in the first place, never has before.
Here is a pic of 15 more minutes of agony hiking to what is called the saddle. After that it is another 25 min to the peak (which i did not hike to). I did make it to the saddle and it was beautiful!
Here is what it looks like from the saddle. You can see Utah county. From the peak you can see Utah county and Weber county. (you can also see Weber county on your way up the mountain)
Yea for me I made it!!!
There were sooo many rocks. They were hard to cross because they were loose and wobbly. Here I'm standing on a glacier!!
Me and Meg at the Emerald Glacier Lake (more like a pond). Here we took a rest and got ready for the hike down (another 7 miles).
A pretty water fall coming down.
Another waterfall but bigger! The scenery was very pretty going up and coming down the mountain. Glad I went and suffered through my physical pain!!! Will I do this ever again? Probably Not!!!!

Fair week- Monday

Monday we headed to the fair to watch Cali and Paige show their horses. They did great, blue ribbons and headed to state!
Audrey had fun playing by the fence and finally getting the horse noise and not making a cow noise!
Kade and Cambria had a fabulous time entertaining themselves!!

Fair Week- Wednesday

Wednesday was kids day at the fair. Me and the girls went over to Laura's house and decorated bikes for the kids to ride in the kids parade. They were so nice to let Cambria use the big trike!
Me and my mom made the girls shirts with the letter of their name on it and they all wore them Wednesday! They turned out cute and the girls are adorable!!
Waiting for the kids to pass on their bikes down main street!
Woo Woo totally flying down the road on a big trike! She thought it was so fun!
I can see Kade to the left with a blue shirt and a blue and yellow balloon and Cali to the right!
After the parade they got Popsicles at the park then we went to the big top and watched as much as we could of Dizzy Hips a guy who did pretty cool things with hula hoops.

Fair week- Friday

Thursday night we all went camping down in the canyon. We had had hamburgers and hot dogs earlier then went to set up our tents. Some had a DVD player, or a ipod to watch a movie, I read Ramona to Cambria. Early in the night we had a big thunder and lightening storm good thing our tents were water proof.

The next morning we were all chipper and excited for our big breakfast. Mom and Dad brought the food down and we all cooked bacon, eggs and pancakes!

Our happy little camping family!!

Cambria did not like the thunder storm and cried and wanted to go back to grandma's, Audrey thought it was funny. They both slept pretty well through the night as we all shared a queen air mattress. Cambria doesn't wake up very early here she is still sleeping!

Saturday- Fair week

Our second year tradition of doing the Grace Caribou County 5k. This year we got Kristin to join us, we'll see who we can get next year! It was a lot better this year because it wasn't raining!! I did my best 5k time so far 32 min. My next goal will be 30 min.

Spudman 2010

This year was way fun!! We had two teams again a daddy daughter, me, dad and Meagan, and the niners with Tim and Neal.
Neal and Dad getting us to the water on time and getting themselves back to their bikes.
Tim and I bought wetsuits this year and loved them!! It was so cold that morning and our feet were freezing on the grass, we were soo worried what the Snake River was going to feel like, but when we got in we were surprised at how warm it was!! Tim finished in 19 mins and I was 26 mins.

Tim getting ready to run once Neal comes in from his 25 mile bike ride. Tim will be off running 6 miles!
Neal coming in from his ride. He finished in 1 hour and 6 minutes!

Hanging out waiting till our other teammate (dad) comes in on the bike.
We actually missed dad coming in on his bike and he had to call and see where his runner was. He was smokin' fast for his first year! He finished in 1 hour and 20 minutes!!

A well deserved hi five from one biker to the next!
Tim finishing his awesome run in 56 min.

The Ninners, they placed 2 out of 5 teams in their age group.

Meg had a great run she did 1 hour and 5 minutes!
We placed 10th out of 13 in our age group. We are so going to come back next year.

5 of us participated this year and had a great time! We'll see who we get out next year. Launi for sure!!
