Audrey's 3rd Birthday

Do I really have a 3 year old? It is hard to believe!! On Audrey's birthday me and the girls decided to go to the Hogle Zoo since we didn't make it this spring or the summer. It was a perfect day to go!!! The weather was so nice and the animals were fun and active!!

Audrey loved being pushed around by Cambria and getting out when she wanted to get a better look at the animals!
After we went she wanted to go back to the zoo every day for a few weeks!
We took our neighbor Addie with us and we all had such a wonderful time!
The tigers were especially active! They moved around and then one went for a swim and played with it's ball in the water. We were so lucky to see them playing for those few minutes!!

Then of course we did lots of posing with the statues!
What a cute happy birthday girl!

We discovered Discovery Land last year and the girls love it! It has been there for a long time but we never knew of it. Now we can't go to the zoo without visiting it!

Audrey as a turtle!
Cambria being funny on the spider! She loved to show Tim this picture afterwards because he is so afraid of spiders!
This would be Audrey taking pictures with my camera. She may become our family photographer!
More Audrey pics
That night when Tim got home from work we celebrated with just us four and she got to open some presents!
To be my girls they have to have barbies!!!
She is always wanting to play with Cambria's things so I found a great deal on a leapster and knew I needed to get her one!

The next day we had cake and ice cream with family! It is fun to extend birthdays to more than one day!!
I tried my cake decorating with Strawberry Shortcake. It was a lot harder that I thought! A lot of changing tips and following directions! It looks better as a picture than it did in actual life!

These are the best faces to know that it was all worth it and it all turned out good!Happy Birthday my sweet Audrey!
One funny thing was she wouldn't blow out her candle, so Tim eventually blew it out for her! Silly girl!

Aunt Mary, Lori, and Tonya came as well as Doug, Ryan, Morgan, and Brandon. We all had a wonderful time and she is getting the whole birthday thing and even singing the song! Now we will just have to work on blowing out the candle for next year!

School Pictures

This is Audrey's Retake and below is her first try! As you can see we definitely needed a retake! She even told me after that she didn't smile! I went with her the second time to make sure we got a smile!!

Cambria's picture turned out gorgeous!! She wanted her hair strait with nothing in it and it turned out soo pretty! My mom couldn't stand to have them get their pictures taken in their school uniform of white and navy blue so she got each of the girls a new shirt for pictures! I'm glad she did because they turned out soo nice! What beautiful girls I have!

Cambria's Dresser

My mom gave me this dresser a while back and I was finally able to pull it out from my storage unit. It used to be one of my brothers (Nick or Doug's) and is a very nice sturdy dresser!

Of course everything I get, I have to sand it down and repaint it! It just wouldn't look cute for a girls room!

I got it sanded down and painted a few coats of primer on it. This is Audrey's handy painting. I left a paint brush out in the garage and she decided to help! Luckily it was on the primer!!

I finally figured out that the top two drawer design came off and then I was able to get serious about my painting!!

Here is the finished result! I really like the way it turned out! Cambria is also liking the extra storage and easy to open drawers!

Painting Cambria's room

So Tim and I got a new bed, a California king, so we gave our old bed to Cambria. In the process we needed to change the room color from green to pink. I found the color in an Ikea ad and went to Home Depot and we got started!!

The shelves were a off white color and was distressed, so I painted them a stark white for the look that I was going for, a pink white and black look!

Cambria was kind enough to take some pictures of us while we were painting!

The pink is a little bold but I love it and think it is a great improvement from the green.

Cambria is pretty happy with her new room and color and definitely with her new big big bed!
The dresser in the corner is one of my brothers old ones and so I sanded it down and painted it black and white to go with my theme! She was in need of a bigger dresser!
