Ogden Temple Open House and the Hogle Zoo

I am so happy that we were able to make it to the Ogden Temple Open House!  Aug 18, 2014 We took our neighbor Addie Williams with us!  The girls immediatley noticed how clean the temple was when we first walked in. They also oohed and aahed over each room and loved the celestial room.  Another bonus was our next door neighbor Cherry Vanover and her kids came with us.  Cherry and her son Hreinson were just baptized a year ago and the family is working towards a temple sealing in May 2015!

A friend of Cambria's mom asked if I could watch her daughter for a few days until school started (she works for the school) and so we took her with us to the zoo and had a really fun time!  We were trying to get a few last minute fun things in before school started the next day! The friends name is Kathryn Solum.

The Hogle Zoo has really come a long way in the last few years and has made the zoo soo nice!!  The new addition we hadn't seen yet was the lion.  Beck liked it while it was napping but kind of freaked out when it woke up! It really did look like there wasn't a sheet of glass between us!

The polar bear is fun to watch!  He has a routine of walking into his den, out, taking a quick swim and repeating! Aug 20, 2014

Cowabunga Bay

Me and the girls made it to Cowabunga Bay.  Beck stayed home with Tim while Tim shoveled 5 yrds of dirt to our back yard to cover up our sand.  We had a fun time and tried all of the slides!  The girls had a great time in the lazy river too, probably because the water was warm! All in all we spent 5 hours and enjoyed ourselves!  I will say this, it is a place I could go to every other year! Maybe next time Beck will get to come!

The girls tried dip and dots for the first time and are hooked!!

                                                                      Cowabunga!!!

Backyard Camping

Another thing we didn't get in during Fair Week was camping out.  It was too wet so we didn't go at the canyon.  Since we have a fence in the back yard now we pitched the tent on the yard!  Me and the girls camped out on our air mattress with blankets and popcorn and a movie!  We had just finished reading Ramona and Bezus and so we watched the movie! It was a really fun night!

50 Mile Mark!!!!

We are totally on our way to meeting our 100 miles this summer!  We just made it to 50 and boy are these kids awesome bike riders!!

We had to get our picture taken by the metal dinosaur holding a lantern!!
On our way back home the kids like to play at what we call the Balance Park! It has helped that the last few days and the days ahead have been cool so that we can get some miles in!

Draper Pool

Since we didn't go to Bear Lake this year we decided to take the kids to Cowabunga Bay.  We got all ready and when we arrived (after Beck's nap)  they were going to be closing in 1hour and 45 min for a private event.  So we decided to try that another day and took the kids to the Draper Pool instead.  After we were finished Beck was cold so Audrey let him put on her swim cover up! He would make a cute girl, but we are glad he is our awesome boy!!

Fair Week August 6-9

Of course fair week was a blast yet another year in a row!  The cousins had such a fabulous time! Tim and I had taken Beck down to his mothers house for a visit and after a while of being there, there was a knock on the door and we were met with all the cousins (except for just a few) who had walked from Grandma Johnson's. So on the way back, which Tim made me walk back with them we had some fun!!

Cole and Audrey got a hold of my phone and I guess the only thing you can do with a phone is selfies!
Tim and I made it to our 15 year class reunion with such a great turn out (not)!  There were about 15 more locals that could have come.  Those that were there were fun to visit with!

Beck was having a great time at the fair seeing all the animals and learning what their sounds are!

I took the girls to their first rodeo and the liked it!  Tim took them to the demolition derby and it was a bust!  Over all we got to do lots of fun things at the fair and enjoy all of our family!

Having Fun!!

Since we couldn't do much for a few weeks because Beck was sick we did a few fun at home things! I made the kids a huge blanket tent to play and sleep in!  Just the girls got to sleep in it!  We kept it up for a few days before taking it down.  They had fun watching TV in it too! July 28, 2014

Audrey has two teeth gone and is so happy the tooth fairy came! July 29, 2014
Beck loves our bike rides!  Our goal is 100 miles by the end of summer! He is so fun to listen to behind me when he sees or hears a dog, a horse, or birds! July 30, 2014
The girls were a little hot and tired coming up the big hill by the church! So glad there is a tree there for some R and R!!

Will this picture be embarrassing later in life?  Possibly! But for now it is totally cute!  He did all of this on his own! July 30, 2014
After going to the Doctors I took the kids to Ti pan trading to wait for Classic Skating to open.  Cambria can't resist a photo opportunity when it arises!

Cambria was desperate to buy some roller skates but I told her she needed to try it first.  So we went to Classic Skating to give it a try!  Beck did not like his skates! August 5, 2014
Audrey got some help with this little walker thing and by the end of the afternoon it really was helping and she was getting the hang of it!
Cambria smiled through all of her roller skating even through the awful falls!
